Information Services Assessment Council Meeting Minutes

Present: Jennifer Church-Duran, Julie Fugett, Jill Glaser, Holly Mercer, Kathy Moore, Bill Myers (chair), Ryan Papesh, Marianne Reed, Thelma Simons, Rebecca Smith, Sherry Umscheid Absent: Fran Devlin, Darrell McNamara, Bruce Oliver, Rhonda Sharp, James Tumlinson

Myers briefed the Council on the online advising tool, the information management program and the University strategic plan. Council members are invited to attend any of the online advising tool demos being conducted over the next few weeks. The purpose of the demos is to gather information from the prospective faculty and staff advisers regarding appearance and navigability of the tool.

Jill Glaser described the planned redesign of the Libraries' Information Gateway (IG). The initial assessment component will take place in October when Libraries staff will be queried regarding content and function in the IG. Future assessment will likely include usability and other methods.

Thelma Simons described plans to evaluate the updated IT service catalog and IT Web site via focus groups and usability testing. Some discussion followed concerning coordination of Libraries and IT Web sites.hared drive. Myers will send a prompt to gather information from members.
