Information Services Assessment Council Meeting Minutes

Present: James Tumlinson, John Stratton, Ryan Papesh, Thelma Simons, Bill Myers, Mandy Swygart-Hobaugh, Sherry Umscheid, Darrell McNamara

Absent: Jill Glaser, Holly Mercer

Carrie Towns from the Office of Institutional Research & Planning (OIRP) discussed the services they could offer to IS regarding assessment. Much discussion was devoted to how the OIRP might assist the Libraries in analyzing the quantitative data from LibQual+ so that the Libraries might compare/contrast this data with the qualitative comments. Bill Myers will meet at a later date with Carrie Towns to further discuss the possibility of OIRP assisting in this analysis. As suggested by Towns, a subcommittee of McNamara, Tumlinson, and Swygart-Hobaugh will look at the survey items that seem to correspond with the areas of greatest concern identified in the qualitative comments and identify them for further analysis, possibly by OIRP.
